Before the race I was pretty confident Kerr would win because the last few times he and Ingebritsen faced off, he has tactically beaten him with the kick. Ingebritsen has no kick . He just goes out and wants to drag the other runners into deep waters with his relentless pace . Kerr just hangs and always gets him in the end . But the American, Wow !!! Like you said, breaking cadence around the back stretch and then having to reestablish it and out kick Kerr . Warholm, the other Norwegian racing in the 400 hurdles , has the similar tactic like Ingebritsen, just relentless pace from the start . The American Rai Benjamin has the strong kick at the end . I haven't followed Hocker , but has he ever approached this level before ?
