But but but… people feel differently!

Indeed.

...about 6 in 10 Americans are failing to meet their basic needs, with their incomes falling short by almost $14,000 on average in 2022, LISEP noted. That underscores the struggles that many households are facing after two years of rising inflation, which has pushed up costs for everything from food to rent.

And 7 out of 10 Americans can’t balance a household budget or distinguish between a basic need and completely frivolous waste of money.

You’re in good company.

And if you tell someone that their shortcomings or misfortunes are all someone else’s fault then a lot more than 6 in 10 will happily agree.

The Democrats will have a federal government program for your pains. It's someone else's fault.

Yup.  Economic inequality is a problem.  Here are some more quotes from your article:

Florida not doing so great in your article...but I'm guessing you aren't ready to rethink your whole CA/Bay Area thing.

The problem of inequality goes back much further than 2022.  Never thought of you as a share the wealth guy though.

On the bright side (not from your article which appears to stop with 2022 data), real wages have been rising throughout 2023, and this jobs recovery has been different.  Average real (inflation-adjusted) wages for Production/Non-Supervisory workers (>80% of US private sector workers) are 2.7% above Jan 2020 levels, and are at pre-pandemic trend. Average for all workers is ~1% above Jan 2020 levels, but below trend. For once, we are seeing a small bit of wage compression with the lower end doing a little relatively better than the top.

Really?  Pre 2022?  I am shocked.  I may have to rethink my 'Biden is to blame for...' strategy.

I tell you brother, to have all that wealth those at the top have and not give it back is a moral failing that has no equal.  They can give most away and STILL BE THE RICHEST IN THE WORLD.  Why wouldn't they do that?  Makes zero sense.

Rely on the church?

Amongst other things.

You do know that back in the day the church used to have hospitals and it helped the poor.  I'm guessing the huge growth in the federal government and increased taxation directly led to a reduced ability of religious institutions to do so.

What increased taxation?  Which churches are being taxed??  They aren't according to the IRS.  Looks another lie from you, which would be totally shocking.  🤡

Are you trying to beat DBP and that idiot from Louisiana for top dumbass on the board?

Church-run hospitals used to provide free or nominal cost healthcare to the needy in our cities. There are now nearly 200 fewer Catholic hospitals than there were in 1960.  And their ability to provide free care has been substantially reduced.

Where do churches get money? From their members. Their parishioners.

What happens when those people see more and more of their income disappear due to taxation?

Don't hurt yourself attempting to think critically. It is clearly beyond you.

Imbecile.
