Hard fought win tonight against one of the best teams in the state.  The Defense was phenomenal, and the offense put together two massive 90 yard drives when they needed it.

D pitched a shutout — did Hoban even have 100 yards of offense?

They had 79 yards at halftime & 2 first downs in second half so probably between 100-120

No surprise here

Ed’s best team in state with Bullock healthy & maybe half healthy. Needless to say they will need to Focus & grow 6 more weeks.

The teams in central OH impress me & will be a great final four

Yes, with a completely healthy Bullock Ed’s is likely the best team on any neutral field. Hopefully he just “tweaked” the knee against Hoban and didn’t re-injure it. If so, maybe he’s back by week 13 or so. The Columbus group is definitely a legit threat this year.

They play Mentor who they beat in week two. Both teams have improved, how could they not? 😂

Having 16 teams per region in the playoffs is ridiculous.  In Region 1, you have 3 “playoff” teams with only 1 win, and 2 more with only 3.

They should eliminate a round and have only 8 teams per region.

Prior to COVID they were going to 12 teams in each region making the playoffs. Agree that 8 seems to be the right number.

If you okay for a title, you play 16 games — that’s a lot for high school kids.  Should make it 9 retailer season games and and 8 teams per region, for 14 games at most.
