😯 thx for the finish info.

That’s major cojones in OT going for 4th and 11 vs a 28 yd FG attempt.

Norland goes 2nd and says thank you very much.

Would Corona Centennial go for it?  :) or the AR team that never punts but maybe they kick (forgot which).

Central would've still had to play defense had they kicked. So, they didn't want to get three and then get beat on a TD.

Friday the 13th  2nd half comebacks.

By now, folks are waking up shocked to see the Stanford-Colorado final score.

MC had a 20-0 lead at the half 😯

I’m still thinking MC F’d up by not trying a FG in OT.

Norland starts in OT already in FG position!

Makes zero sense to me.

I just don’t see it.   They start OT in FG range.  Unless the MC PK is weak or was injured, you basically tried a low % play to lose by the opposition having to do nothing.

@MC Rockets thoughts?

Norland went backwards 9 yards in OT and kicked the winning FG.

HS kicking games are often not reliable enough to trust in a situation in which the made kick can not guarantee a win. Norland lost yards on false starts, and failed to gain yards, at least in part, because they knew they didn't need a TD to win.

Exactly.  Always nice to go 2nd in OT.

But MC double faulted on their turn.  We can agree to disagree.

I am not going on 4th and 10-11 vs a 28 or so FG try, knowing that Norland can win with a FG starting at the 10.

To me, that’s insanity.  Sorry.
Again though, I don’t know MC’s kicker status.  He may be weak.  That’s why I asked @MC Rockets Hopefully he can add some insight to this finish.

But sheesh if 28 yards is a weakness for a team to try a FG, that’s a serious liability.
