Let me know when Louisiana wins a game against a Bishop Gorman

Let us know when poly does? See, you are letting it bother you too much.

poly took out one of california's best teams last night.

We should set up poly vs St Aug (NOLA). That would be a good game this year.

The two schools combined have produced almost 100 NFL players.

Poly would win. Augustine isn't Gorman.

Miami central walks out a brand new quarterback (their 3rd of the game) with 30 seconds left for 2 plays, then put the starter back in on 3rd & 4th down and they end up losing. Truly a bad coaching job in the 4th quarter by central. Wow. Good for Gorman, feel bad for centrals kids. A 53 yard field goal attempt when he missed a 30 yard attempt before the half? Just shit bad

Yep, everyone is wondering what the hell they were doing throwing the 3rd QB in at that point. Particularly starting at the BG 40ish yard line.

I guess add Miami Central and Bishop Gorman to the teams that are poorly coached list, huh.

Good thing both have some players and transfer up every off season.

Atrocious coaching on both sides. Gorman's DC should be given some time off. Its not rocket science on how the MC speed, particularly on the sideline flairs could have been handled but the BG defense never adjusted and kept falling for the same play on both sides of the field.

You are right about the FG attempt as well. The way MC was dissecting the BG D, every possession should have been played as 4 down territory. I won't even get into BG's ridiculous kick off strategy.

Central hit an 80 yard bomb early in the game, so they probably decided to call Cover 3 and other defenses with the corners in deep zones. That opens up the flats, as does playing man against backs who are a lot faster than the guy covering them.

Offenses are ahead of defenses these days. Good offense now beats good defense. That's why you see so many shootouts at the higher levels of the game. All four college playoff teams gave up over 40 points in playoff games, none of which went to OT. Offenses (and maybe some of the rules) are just geared to beat defenses in 2023.

As I just said in my post right above this, offenses are simply getting the better of defenses these days. Giving up a lot of points doesn't mean a team is poorly coached. And a coach making a bad decision on which Qb to play when doesn't necessarily mean they are poorly coached, either.

Anyone paying attention knew this was going to be an unstoppable BG offense and a green defense. The shootouts they've been in should knock them out of a MNC if a few others are undefeated.
