The NFL has become unwatchable. If you were watching the Jets vs Raiders game the two unnecessary penalties were an absolute joke. I tried to watch the Broncos vs Dallas game as well. NFL is not the same as it used to be. Its becoming a horror show to watch at least for me

I watched the Patriots vs the Saints.  I had a great time. 🤠

Ignore the bad calls or yell at the tv.

Caught up on Prepgridiron threads during the ads.  Gotta multitask.

Full disclosure - Chiefs game 2 weeks ago, not so much fun.

Fact: The NFL is by far, the best football played period. Its problem is that is has been clouded with commercialism and politics so badly that many, myself included, have little desire to follow it as closely as in the past.

Relative to the college game: anyone who has played at or have been connected at the DI/FBS level, knows the real deal. It is anything but a pristine sport. The Josh Rosen interview a few weeks past explains it well. It has morphed into a money making machine for the networks and the NCAA. Any entity where coaches get paid substantially more than their college dean tells you something. That being said, I will follow the sport as there is much more pageantry with the students and my alignment with the college I attended and still get off on the Bedlam.

If I happen to hit on an NFL or college game that has drama ( ala the UCLA / A&M game or last years super bowl 2nd half ) I'm on it... but for the most part its HS football over the NFL for me.

I agree with just about everything but on the issue of coaches pay. They get paid what the market bears. A highly successful team or national champion brings in incredible amounts of money from apparel sales, ticket sales, food and drink sales and all the rest.

Does anyone know if the OC for the Giants is from Moultrie or Caj's trailer park?

Yeah... I was watching the game last night and really thought the guy was the obvious twin or moonlighting job of our OC. As I listened along with John Gruden, he sounded just like Colquitt fans making all the same excuses.

The Giants fans were trippin'. Down by 21, halfback dive. BOOOOO! Run off tackle. BOOOO!

John was right though. At some point the players have gotta make the plays. B. Marshall had a couple of balls damn near bounce off his helmet. Probably gotta give some credit to the defenses the Giants have faced so far.

Ain't THIS the SAME OC at Colquitt, that they had in the 2010 state championship game against Brookwood? Where they ran up 600 yds. of offense and 38 first downs?

As bad as Colquitt STUNK on D the other night until the 9:00 minute mark of the third quarter! TRUTH be known, they lost because of a blocked punt, and a wide open receiver(J.J.) that Steven didn't see in the end zone! It was only 35-25 before the clown ass bitch coach at Brookwood, ran up the score from the three!

You mean the team with the all time SB choke? I'm still waiting for matty Ice to live up to his name.

SIMPLE explanation really! My boys ran through the Minutemen like a knife through shit to go up 28-3! And as a result, the D was on the field for 95 plays versus 45 for the NE pussies! And with virtually NO depth in the NFL, they got tuckered out!:( Those clowns SHOULDA presented their Supa Bowl rings in a coupla weeks, when the 2018 Super Bowl Champions come to town, to KICK DAT OVERRATED ASS! MUST SEE TV!

HELL, The PATRIOTS SUCKED SOOOOOOOO bad, Marky Mark left at HALFTIME! And THEN, had the balls to EMCEE the ring ceremony in game one!xD

It is. Which is why I elaborated that at some point the players have to make the plays.

Just musing here, but, seems like we really got beat because of the "5" in the 3-5-3 defense. They didn't close quickly enough to fill the gaps and missed tackles when they did get into position in the first quarter.

Brookwood game planned and got on us quick knowing we probably couldn't win the arms race on offense this time, just like that other game you mentioned when we had Tyler Brown airing it out. Defense couldn't stop Brookwood any better then than they did Friday night. Turns out they were right. We couldn't overcome the early storm.

Still it feels like the only reason the fans at the game Friday night weren't booing when we were running up the gut down by 2 scores late is because it's high school and they're classier than that. The grumbling and rumbling was still audible though.

You may be surprised to know that I was defending the play calling then because I could see we weren't executing the pass blocking and/or getting open quickly enough for the passing game to be viable.

Fans are fans, and they get restless. Me too at times. Coaches are coaches and they have to be able to handle the criticism whether always warranted or not.

Just saying, many people felt like we should have started taking the risk and airing it out much earlier. Not sure whether I agree or disagree. Depending on my mood and whether it's a heavy flow day or not, I can go either way on it.

xD

Falcons were 1 for 8 on third down - that is why they had so few plays.  They can stop by the Hall during their visit to Foxboro and see "their" Lombardi.
