SJP started their season with OOS wins over Oaks Christian and Don Bosco, followed by a defeat of newly crowned 5A champs Archbishop Wood. Last week they overcame their toughest challenge since that early season stretch, holding off North Penn 35-25. PCC got blown out by St. John's in their opener, and other than a close win against Pine-Richland a month later have been unchallenged, scoring 62 and 63 points the last two weeks. Earlier today, Steel Valley ended defending champs Southern Columbia's 31-game winning streak with a dominant 49-7 win in the 2A final. Steel Valley (is there a more Western PA name for a high school?) scored 800 points on the season and put a running clock on every opponent. In the 3A final Beaver Falls shut down a high-scoring Middletown offense on their way to a 30-13 win. I was going to complain about these endless corny Pennsylvania Farm Show ads on PCN, but then the Steph Curry Under Armour commercial came on NFHS Network and nothing is more annoying than that, 1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
