Eye opening is number 13 and 28 rated in the country playing touch football in a playoff game.

Lucky has a nice commitment, but not many doors were knocking.

How in the ? is that resume 28th is beyond my comprehension of scale boost.  Some loss ratings make me cringe, ** or not.  It’s ridiculous.

Resembles a Texas 6a Final.

Also crazy in that OLU played SJB tougher than Central

sammy is bad at practically everything. Trolling included.

Imagine your team's entire reputation was based on going 1-for-4 against Mater Dei and St. John Bosco.

Servite did not win the Trinity League. They did not win the Southern Section playoffs. They did not participate in a CIF bowl game. And they did not even come close to claiming a MNC. And yet Calpreps gave them a season ending rating of 91.2

That’s the 6th highest rated team ever in CP history from any state. Higher than 2011 DBP, 2006 Southlake Carroll, 2017 IMG, 2019 St Frances, 2004 Colerain, 2019 STA and every DLS team.

It’s time for Ned to do some more tweaking of his formula.

Your answer can be found by checking the SOS of 2011 DBP, 2006 SLC, 2017 IMG, 2019 SFA, 2004 Colerain 2019 STA, and every DLS team.  It's not rocket science.  Just take the emotion out of it and it's easy peezy.

No emotion involved.
I know how CP works.

Its time for another tweak in the formula as he has done in the past.

Most people agree that the Top teams now are better than the teams 20 years ago, as is reflected in the ratings.

Not true…Mater Dei’s 2000 team may have been the best team they ever had…that team’s back up FS still holds the school “dip record”…that young man did 99 consecutive dips in a row…I also hear his wife is a member of the the MD Ring of Honor…

I know…I know it’s hard to believe at 16 year old could do that many dips in a row…

STA's schedule is probably undervalued...

It's also just an average of opponents' ratings which means that terrible district teams like South Plantation, Nova and Cooper City (who have negative ratings) have an outsized impact on the SOS number.

sammy doesn't seem to understand that a team can have an SOS of 35 but play St. Frances Academy which is why he claims that weak schedules are easy to "run."

He frequently outs himself as an ignorant buffoon.

It's like you have to explain everything to sammy slowly and in simple plain English. He doesn't get it otherwise.

Las Vegas_JC's *exact* point was there was something off with the ratings themselves.

sammy responds by saying "look at the ratings!"

It doesn't matter.  The same point is made.  Even if certain types don't want to hear it.

What's been made clear here recently is that not a single Californian or equivalent homer wants to touch the substance of this argument for even a second.

The overwhelming realization that the calpreps numbers are off the reservation is universally recognized.

So in order to avoid the truth but still stroke egos you are forced to dance around like this.

I mean whatever happen to that bozo GoBigBlack? That guy ran away the moment he realized how out of his depth he was.

This is what makes sammy so lovable. He's out of his depth too but either doesn't know it or doesn't care because he's a good toady.

I've figured it out now.

sammy is just really bad at math.

Central: 35-12 = 23

Orange Lutheran: 49-25 = 24

Give Orange Lutheran credit though.

They only gave up 600 yards of total offense to St. John Bosco.

St. John Bosco football uses big plays to beat Orange Lutheran

Luke, who finished with 115 yards rushing and 138 yards receiving, scored four touchdowns, including three in the first half, leading St. John Bosco to a 49-25 victory against Orange Lutheran at Orange Coast College on Friday night. The Braves finished with 600 yards of total offense.

Power rankings are going to be skewed when you play both Bosco and MD twice, regardless of whether you win or lose. Calpreps needs to penalize teams more for losing, regardless of who you lose to.
