Nobody was comparing it.

You mentioned nobody has ever heard of Hughes or seen them.  They just played Buford last year in the state title game and got blown out. Where was the thread about the depth then? All we had was a championship thread about Georgia

To become something really worthy of much discussion they have to have some staying power. 

The national names you speak to have that staying power. Programs that stay high up in power for year after year. This is why people know who they are and they become common national names and teams like Langston Hughes will get some action in some of the deeper polls, and other than a little mention here from people who got into watching the game, not much recognition on this board.
