An overtime game is literally an effective tie. It's just a tiebreaking method. This is how stupid the average high school football fan is. They don't even understand what overtime is. They think whoever has more points, no matter how they are scored, is the better team and would win again in a rematch. They couldn't be more incompetent if they tried.
