Ironically, the last time Loyola and Mater Dei met, the Cubs shutout the Monarchs 14-0, earning the right to play in our 12th Championship Game. I believe that is relevant.

Don’t worry, Loyola is climbing back up the mountain. We will see you on the summit soon.

These rankings are horrific.

One major difference between Loyola and Servite (other than their elementary school campus), throughout history when Loyola is in the same league as MD, the cubbies either win league (Angelus or Serra) or take home the CIF crown. Then, like clockwork, the butterflies go kicking and screaming to disband the league or start their own. Go figure.

You can tell I’ve been gone awhile because idk who VeniceClub is or who Loyola is 😩

Isn’t that some 8A team in Illinois @abbatt

No worries, Dude! I’m sure you’ve been watching the Braves continue to be a disappointment  for the past 25 years. Hell even Loyola has won CIF multiple times in that timeframe.

Brave fan, this you checking me last year? Same guy?63160433-1A27-404C-A111-2E9794459386.jpeg.7a62f991c243dc94408ebbe44c671ee8.jpeg

I was on a MD team that was in the Serra League with Loyola…be beat them both years…

Loyola would beg to leave the TL if they were in it. Their biggest win this year was a 4 pt win over St Bernards (who started a freshman QB). Bernards got their doors blown off 56-0 against Sierra canyon. Sierra canyon got worked by bosco. Bosco got completely humbled by MD. The baby bears are a long way from the summit. I don’t see them doing anything significant with Sierra canyon and bosco in LA.

I don't mind at all if you take a shot or two at Mater Dei, but, you had to take a shot at Servite, didn't you? Leave us out of it, please.

But as long as you brought it up, in your last two CIF title seasons, Servite beat Loyola in both seasons (Servite 35 Loyola 32  in 2003) and (Servite 29 Loyola 28 in 2005).

Okay, back to the Loyola vs Mater Dei dick measuring contest.

The Serra League was 2002-2005. You say that you were on teams that beat Loyola “both years”.

Now, I know you are lying on this forum.

The only year MD handed Loyola an L during a season without get smacked back in the playoffs was 2002.

Loyola won 2 CIF Titles and 2 League Championships in those 4 seasons in the Serra League.

Then the OC schools took their ball and started a new OC Catholic league, and brought along the worst LA Catholic school from the Serra League with them. Man, that kind of backfired on you guys, huh?

I know Mater Dei had a lengthy stint playing OC publics following 1991 (when Loyola won the last Angelus League Title). Perhaps they moved into the “Serra League” sometime after, but Loyola was in the Del Rey League with Amat, St Paul, Bosco, Notre Dame and Alemany during that time span.

The 6-team Serra League with Loyola, Amat, Bosco, MD, Servite and SM only ran from 2002-2005.

So maybe you won some non league tuneup games?

I said we beat Loyola 2 years in a row…you said I was lying and that it couldn’t have happened cause the Serra league didn't start until 2002…I should you proof you had all your facts wrong and you still won’t admit to being wrong…

This is comical. Typical gibberish from the folks down in Santa Ana. Please get your facts in order.

“I was on a MD team that was in the Serra League with Loyola…be beat them both years…”

That is actually what you said. You continue to gloss over the fact, Loyola was a flagship member of the Del Rey League from 1992-2001.

You posted scores from 99 and 00. Damn was your last game out in Rialto losing to IKE? Yikes!

Loyola officially joined the Serra League in 2002 and then disbanded following the 2005 season, which saw Loyola crowned as CIF Division I Champions.

An excerpt from an LA Times article, written by Ben Bloch on September 12, 2002...blessing the newly formed 6-team Serra League with Loyola and Amat as official members.

That being said Bryce is the most exciting and innovative MD QB I have ever seen

Your talking out of both sides of your mouth . Two post earlier you said " Bryce isn't definitely the better qb ".  Now you are saying he is the most exciting and innovative qb you have ever seen . Which is it ?  Of course we all know the answer, what it should be .

JT was the better QB and was the QB on the best team to ever play HS Football.

BY, was fun to watch and could do things on the field no one else could do. He was a RB with a sniper gun for an arm. He wasn’t a better QB then JT and the stats show that.

It’s was great being on that team…lots of great dude and memories…like doing the pride drill on Loyola’s field after beating them with a last second field goal073C9DBD-634A-48D2-995F-95EBD87B690C.gif.9d24b91342e39b3e4363af6331fd03c3.gif

It’s important to cherish those Friday Night moments (especially that specific one in September/October).

But, for entertainment purposes, It would be far more interesting to know what The Stache said to the mighty butterflies on the bus as you all pulled out of the parking lot in Rialto...

Or, what on earth Rollo said following a tie versus Poly to end the ‘99 season...

Loyola is 15-21 since 2017. 💩

We won 15 games IN 2017 alone.

😂😂😂

I know, it’s pretty wild to see the CA rankings as of late! Loyola Top 10 on CalPreps? Who knew...

Loyola is 8-2 since November 2019 and returns 8 starters on offense and 7 on defense (and both specialists).

I heard they are determining playoff divisions after the regular season.

Looking forward to seeing that develop in 2021...

Mid-season form on this trolling. My man has been MIA for months, and shows back up trolling like he was never gone. Hahahahaha!

Indeed!  And you really do need to be an old fart like me to remember when Loyola was relevant.  You don't have to go back as far as 1901, but that's not far off.

Correct.  We already have too many cupcakes in the TL, too, so stay away.

Fixated on the 90s, huh?  How many CIF titles did Little Blue have in the 90s?  We had 5.
