All I know is these things move in cycles.

Stuff happens maybe Loyola gets their mojo back.

Can anyone honestly say with an absolute certianty that Bosco and MD are going to be able to sustain this pace for another 5 years? Of course not.

“Maybe”?

In two seasons under Drew Casani, Loyola went from a previously 1-win season in 2018  to Top 10 in So Cal in 2021.

The future is bright! D179B94F-157F-4350-8FA0-D1C1911468BD.jpeg.bb836fd7b7ef050df8398ec743f7f6ac.jpeg

Only a matter of time before Loyola is at the top of the mountain, once again.

There is absolutely no question that the top two in the Trinity League are in a whole separate universe in terms of overall talent and depth.

A full 16 team Division I playoff bracket would certainly be far more competitive...

1. Sierra Canyon

2. Servite

3. Long Beach Poly

4. Los Al

5. San Clemente

6. Mission Viejo

7. Centennial

8. Loyola

9. Serra

10. Alemany

11. Chaminade

12. Norco

13. Oaks Christian

14. Amat

15. Edison

16. Inglewood

This would be a compelling bracket.  The Playoffs would be much more interesting without the Big 2 (not naming names)

The kids would be 100% engaged to try an win it.  Unlike now when they look at the bracket to see their ceiling, and its not the finals.

Digest the Carnage

2017 Mater Dei MOV by Round - +43, +42, +28

2017 SJB MOV by round - +14, +23, +28

2018 Mater Dei MOV by Round - +38, +39, +34

2018 SJB MOV by Round - +49, +50, +46

2019 Mater Dei MOV by Round - +40, +25,

2019 SJB MOV by Round - +56, +38

In who's universe does anyone find these games interesting?  But lets wait for the Cycle to play itself out.   What a joke.  This is not a cycle.  This is new territory and there is no forseable end in the next 4 years.

Even the semi finals are 4 score wins.  Ridiculous.

Time to log off permanently. Guys from Folsom are calling you out for being soft. Embarrassing. I thought MD was finishing 3rd in the TL this year and has no room for error against servite? What happened? It smells like pussy in here. Soft as shit. Go cry on the local board.

I’m not referring to 2021 Servite in as much as the overall direction things are taking.

Take off your MD glasses and look.

You are not being sincere if you don’t see a problem.

Servite is probably the 2021 next best team - but in 2022 they drop off a lot comparatively so the gap widens further.

Pro and college sports can try and regulate this from happening via salary caps and scholarships.   In high school there are zero stop gaps.

I found a workable solution.  That would allow for some compelling games.

A.  Two 8 team brackets

B.  Winners of each bracket have a play in game for SBG

Bracket A = SJB, MD and lowest 6 seeds (Edison, Amat, Norco, San Clem, Chaminade, Serra)

Bracket B = Highest 8 seeds after MD and SJB (Sierra Canyon, Servite, Poly, Los Al, MV, Jokes, Cen10, Loyola)

This way teams will be playing hard to get into the top 8 seeds after SJB and MD so they can play in Bracket B.

Is Everyone happy now??????????

Even better let’s call bracket A the Open and

Bracket B - The D1 bracket.

This way So Cal get a great D-1 champion
