More recently they played the 11-0 Dimond (AK) state champs in 2000. 10-1 Gilmer (TX) and 9-1 Rock Bridge (MO) in 2006. 15-0 Hamilton (AZ) and 14-0 DLS in 2010. One game in NV (2021) and the other in HI (2022). This was a big factor in the negotiations. Also Las Vegas is described as “the Ninth Island” by the large population of Polynesians that have been moving to Vegas for several decades now.
