Bryd was pretty solid last year. Knocked John Curtis out of the playoffs. Curtis was a little down last year, but still more than competitive. John Curtis lost 5 games all them decided by 7 points or less.

9 Byrd [C. E.] (Shreveport, LA)   team preview   trend Louisiana 5A District 1 I 10-1 6-0 (1st) 2-1 38.6 21.2 54-44
WINS: #899 Curtis [John] (River Ridge, LA) (14-13), #1042 St. Augustine (New Orleans, LA) (31-14), #1661 Calvary Baptist Academy (Shreveport, LA) (35-27), #1927 East Ascension (Gonzales, LA) (27-20), #2323 Haughton (LA) (28-10), #3475 Captain Shreve (Shreveport, LA) (28-7), #4566 Airline (Bossier City, LA) (49-28), #5759 Parkway (Bossier City, LA) (42-7), #9121 Natchitoches Central (Natchitoches, LA) (20-0), #9348 Southwood (Shreveport, LA) (51-0), LOSSES: #151 Catholic (Baton Rouge, LA) (35-12)

"Pretty solid"

A 1-point win over a single top 1000 team and a three-score shellacking against the best team they played by far.

Some old school CE Byrd vs Evangel Christian from 2000.

Man, Byrd could run the ball........

Byrd-purple

Evangel-white

CE Byrd is a modest 6-2 OOS since 2004.

Best 2 wins are vs Texas teams.

Longview, TX in 2015

And, the Bishop Dunne All Stars from Dallas in 2018. Bishop Dunne would win the Big Boy TAPP State Championship. That was a loaded Bishop Dunne squad.

Byrd beat Bishop Dunne 17-14

6A Desoto beat Bishop Dunne 19-7

But both those teams still suck.

Maybe so, but Bishop Dunne had some good players. Of course these are shit players to you, but they had quite a few of them......

No, they're "shit" players by demonstration.

The best player on their roster was 4-star Brian Williams. He went to Texas A&M.

2019: 1 tackle

2020: 6 tackles

The guy barely plays

The second best player was 3-star Logan Wilson. Here's his career progression:

2019: Kansas State (did not play)

2020: Transferred to Louisiana-Monroe (opted out)

2021: Transferred to North Texas

The kid has not played a single snap of college football

The rest of their players in the database went to UNLV (G5), Texas State (G5), Illinois State (FCS), Central Arkansas (FCS) and Texas A&M-Commerce (DII).

What a loaded team.

😄

The nj goober asked who Bishop Dunne was. He now knows they played an Arkansas 7A team just like bergen catholic. This stuff must really be hard.

They played a different Arkansas team than a New Jersey team did in two different seasons that were separated by 3 years.

So he should know who they are?

🤔

😄
