As expected. Eds and Mentor look like the two best teams in Div. I, Region 1.  Since getting shocked and smacked by Hoban early in the year, Eds has been dominant, especially on the defensive side.  Mentor continues to put up the points — the school has a knack for producing great QBs.  Definitely looking like a collision course between Mentor’s air show and Ed’s defense and running game.

True.

Region 4 is really complicated.

X is the favorite. They have been able to put up points all year. They shouldn't have lost week 1 to Brownsburg, but stupid coaching decisions cost them. Also it was week 1 for X and week 2 for Brownsburg, which is a bigger factor this season than normal. Their other loss was a close game to Cathedral, whom appears to be one of the best teams in the midwest.

Elder can also put up a lot of points, but their defense is very weak. Fairfield nearly beat them last night, and Fairfield is just average this year.

Lakota West & Colerain are in pretty similar situations. Both teams have the 2 best defenses in SWO and that could have them in a position to win most any game...but both team's offenses have struggled against the better defenses they've played, Colerain much more so.

Princeton can score quick and by the boatload with all the talent they have on offense. However, they rely on the athleticism of their players rather than a cohesive scheme; usually just letting their QB scramble and/or chuck the ball down the field and hoping the WR's come down with it. Sometimes this works, sometimes it doesn't. Their defense isn't very good either.

Moeller is a wildcard, whom looked awful early in the season, but recently made a QB change and have actually been quite competent on offense.

So you’re saying you have a chance? ; )

That's a great summary for D1 R4 Coletrain.  The win by our Cardinals looks good on paper but the offense is still brutal to watch.  Feel good they can beat Mason on Friday but after that, would not surprise me at all if the old ball coach Bolden puts together a game plan to once again, completely shut us down against West.  His knowledge of our offense is the biggest weapon on Lakota West's sideline.

Also, not sure if you were able to watch the game, but I very concerned about the lack of creativity with the offense.  I realize Freddie Johnson had to step in and run the offense in place of an injured Tyler Prather but how many times was a quick seam route open for someone (Myers!!!!) to run with Milford playing 10 in the box and it was NEVER thrown?  I mean, that has to be worked into the game plan this week vs. Mason or they will just line up and tackle much better than Milford.

Would love another shot at West just to try and beat them.  Can't stomach losing to $olden twice in one season. 😉
