I remember a season when the Bulls used 3 centers and combined they had pretty good numbers. Longly, Purdue and Wennington maybe? Could be wrong on one of them.

I remember as a kid watching Cartwright at USF. He was a very good college player and was good as a Knick, but by the time he was a Bull he was older and purely a complimentary piece. Longley, the big Aussie with the huge vertical lol? C'mon man!

Maybe Cartwright is the connection between Elk Grove HS and Hoffman Estates

The teams Jordan faced in the finals were garbage and he was a favorite every time( He faced 10 HOF total in the finals, compared to 27 for Bron)

Jordan was 1-9 and swept 3 times in the first round(Prior to Pippen). Bron has never lost in the 1st round.

who are the 27 James faced? How many did Jordan face just to reach the finals? Any of the HOF that James face did Jordan face in their prime while James caught them at the end of their careers? Because Jordan played with 13 other HOFers while on the Dream Team. Im sure he faced all of them at one point in his career, but facing a late 90's Bird compared to an 80's Bird is 2 different players.

But its it not what you do in the first rounds it all about what you do in the Big games. The goal is to get a ship' so it's what you do when you are in that situation that matters. It's what you do when you are on center stage that leaves a legacy.

Duncan 3x

Parker 3x

Kawhi 2x

Ginoboli 3x

Harden

Durant 2x

Westbrook

Nowitzski

Kidd

Steph 3x

Klay 3x

Draymond 3x

It's 26.

Jordan faced a ton of teams with one or two hall of famers at most on teams to reach the finals.

The best teams Jordan faced to reach the finals the Knicks had one HOF(The Magic had 1 and Penny should be a HOF with 2. The Bulls with 2 HOF lost to the Magic then picked up another HOF in Rodman in 96 and beat the Magic).

James faced the Celtics with 3 HOF, the Magic, the Pistons, the Bulls, the Pacers(Similar to the Knicks of the 90's at the very least)

Thomas

Ewing

Alonzo Mourning

Shaq

Reggie Miller

Dumars

Rodman

Everything leaves a legacy to reasonable people, not fan boys

Here you go Steeler, Keep in mind Im a Magic fan, No one will ever prove to me there was a better player.

So we've heard the line that Jordan's Bulls played nine members of the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in the NBA Finals while LeBron James has played against 26.

Welp, those numbers aren't exactly the number of individual Hall of Famers played against, but rather the number of times those teams played others with Hall of Famers on them. It's a good sports bar discussion, but there's something else behind the numbers ... Looking at current Hall of Fame members

Jordan's Bulls:

1991 (Bulls vs. Lakers): Magic Johnson, 2002; James Worthy, 2003
1992 (Bulls vs. Blazers): Clyde Drexler, 2004
1993 (Bulls vs. Suns): Charles Barkley, 2006
1996 (Bulls vs. SuperSonics): Gary Payton, 2013
1997 (Bulls vs. Jazz): John Stockton, 2009; Karl Malone, 2010
1998 (Bulls vs. Jazz II): Stockton and Malone

So, the Bulls actually played against seven current Hall of Famers a total of nine times, and only played against a team coached by a current Hall of Famer once (Jerry Sloan in 1997 and 1998). Bulls also had two Hall of Fame coaches on the bench — Phil Jackson (2007) and Tex Winter (2011).

LeBron James' teams:

2007: (Cavs vs. Spurs): none
2011: (Heat vs. Mavericks): none
2012: (Heat vs. Thunder): none
2013: (Heat vs. Spurs): Tracy McGrady, 2017
2014: (Heat vs. Spurs II): none
2015: (Cavs vs. Warriors): none
2016: (Cavs vs. Warriors II): none
2017: (Cavs. vs. Warriors III): none

LeBron's teams have only played a team with one Hall of Famer, and that's new inductee Tracy McGrady in 2013. For LeBron's argument, he has the potential to say he has played against these potential future Hall of Famers:
Spurs: Tim Duncan, Manu Ginobili, Tony Parker and Gregg Popovich as coach.
Mavericks: Dirk Nowitski, Jason Kidd (possibly Tyson Chandler, Jason Terry and Peja Stojakovic)
Thunder: Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook, James Harden
Warriors: Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, Draymond Green, Kevin Durant (possibly David West)

That's a solid 11 future Hall of Famers with, as I count, four possibles.

But, including McGrady, and all the seemingly definite future inductees are there, that would mean LeBron would have played potentially against at least 12 different Hall of Famers a total of 26 times (counting this year's finals).

Also, LeBron would've played against one coach that's a sure-fire Hall of Famer, and that's Popovich (2007, 2013 and 2014).

The above guys are sure fire HOF players. Which is why I added them. Who cares if they currently aren't in the HOF?

Kawhi Leonard will be a HOF

You forgot Kevin Johnson for the Suns in 1993
