Alabama has also been pretty good, with Derrick Henry, Josh Jacobs, Mark Ingram, Trent Richardson, and others. Historically, USC was dominant. It seems like nowadays, Alabama holds that title.

I agree that Bama and UGA are the current leaders and arguably all time.

Nick Chubb, Todd Gurley, Sony Michel, and soon to be DeAndre Swift. Those first 3 may have been the best backfield threesome of all-time in college.

Also true. Georgia is quickly nipping at the heels for most successful NFL RBs currently. If DeAndre Swift ends up even a quarter of what Barry Sanders was, UGA may be able to overtake Alabama.

Now that was power duo at Okie State... Sanders and Thurman Thomas..

Speaking of the od Big 8,  now that conference produced some backs.. Sayers, Sims, Sanders, Rozier, T Thomas, J. Washington, Riggins, Bieniemy, Salaam, G Pruitt, R Craig, etc....its a Joke what the Big 12 has become,  basketball on grass with no defense..fuk dat noise

The Big 12 is the college equivalent of Texas high school football. Absolutely no sign of defense anywhere.

Ohio state and Bama is a more recent thing.   LSU and FL was the original battle.

Wrong the original battle was FSU and OSU.  I'm talking all the way back to the 90's.  OSU has been pumping out very good db's for that long as was FSU until about 6 years ago.

Well I stand corrected then.  i just remember in the 2000s all the talk between Fl and LSU.   Let’s be honest though Ohio State really picked it up a notch with the 2016 draft.   That’s when they started really standing out and it’s seemed to stay that way since.  Very impressive last 4 years.
