Boise (2010 Boise) was really, really good. Had wins over a tough VT team and Oregon State that year. Ohio State in 2016 wasn't that good compared to other ohio state teams. Plus, they got gifted a win against Michigan that year.

I could see this being an upset. 2017 UCF, despite going undefeated, played some really close games against opponents that the top teams in the country would shred (apart from Auburn). 2016 Oklahoma State had three losses, and one of those losses was the hail mary miracle against Central Michigan (which shouldn't have even happened in the first place). Oklahoma State could potentially pull off this upset simply because they are from the Big 12 and have played better competition than UCF. I'd still take UCF though.

The thing is though I've seen top teams from the "elite conferences" lose to or barley escape bottom feeders in their conference 08 UF for example lost to an Ole Miss team that while being solid shouldn't have been on par with 08 UF 2012 Alabama lost to Texas A&M 2014 and 2015 Alabama lost to Ole Miss Heck LSU gave up I believe a average of over 30 points in 2 games this past year against 2 of the worst teams in the conference in Arkansas and Vanderbilt Teams will have close games most of the time regardless of their competition and idk if those teams I listed were that much better than the competition UCF faced
FootballGuy
Two games y'all should reevaluate is the USC vs Ole Miss game and the Stanford vs Missouri game. Check out who ole miss beat that year and check out who missouri beat along with the talent they had on their team that year. Yes, they gave up 59 against auburn, but other than that, they were pretty solid that year.

Yeah I was curious why people picking that USC team, none the USC teams this decade were really that good and that Ole Miss team was a pretty damn good one, probably best one since Eli Manning days
