I'm sure every wants to see the next round sooner, so I'll go ahead and close voting by 9 pm tonight. Next round will be posted then! That Georgia-Alabama game still needs a tiebreaker vote.

I think the tie-breakers are the ones we need to have discussion on. I still believe you can't bet against Bama when they're playing Georgia. According to Vegas, you should never really bet against my Tide lol!

Vegas...or the Simpsons. Let's be honest, they always get it right too. And if that game ends in a tie, we'll have a discussion to break the tie instead of me voting.

This Georgia-Alabama game is a tough one. If we're taking the teams at the end of the year, I'm going with Georgia. But as a team overall, I would take Alabama.

Well I would have to say with these games we have to judge the entire season because we aren't comparing a single season like in the national tournament I did where we looking at them as an "end of season tournament", we judging programs based on entire seasons

In that case, I have to take 2013 Alabama. I think they would have taken FSU to the brink in the championship game if they had beaten Auburn. They fell off after the Auburn loss and I guess they really didn't care about the Oklahoma game.

Not sure if it changes with more tries but I picked default weather and neutral site for the 2 teams and that was result I got

That’s ridiculous lol.   Not happening.

First Round Matchups for Death Valley Region (First Half):

(1) 2016 Clemson vs. (32) 2015 Western Kentucky

Clemson wins easily. 2016 Clemson, playing their best ball, is going to be tough to beat. Stout defensive front (particularly their DL) and one of the best QBs to ever play the game in Watson. Watson was an absolute thorn-in-the-side for the best defenses.

(16) 2016 Penn State vs. (17) 2011 Boise State

Chris Peterson Boise State teams are hard to pick against. Tough, well-coached teams.

(8) 2014 TCU vs. (25) 2011 Michigan

Did anyone see TCU put down Ole Miss the way they did at the end of the 2014 season? Looked like one of the best teams in college football.

(9) 2013 Michigan State vs. (24) 2013 Oregon

Michigan State’s physical style would neutralize a very good Oregon team. Oregon had a great offense, but MSU would control the game, milk the clock and punch Oregon in the mouth. I still think 2010 Oregon was Kelly’s best team at Oregon.

(5) 2010 TCU vs. (28) 2018 Fresno State

(12) 2017 Wisconsin vs. (21) 2012 South Carolina

(4) 2011 LSU vs. (29) 2011 Houston

LSU fielded one of the greatest and most talented teams of all time this season. Have seen few defenses in the same league as 2011 LSU over the last 20 years of CFB. Houston would be physically overwhelmed on the field by LSU’s size and speed. UH better have the ice packs ready because LSU would hurt them. 48-3 LSU (or worse)

(13) 2016 Ohio State vs. (20) 2010 Boise State

Ohio State has had some mighty talented teams under Urban Meyer so this is a close call. Boise State escapes with a win.

Voting will remain open until Wednesday at 9 pm and will extended as necessary. Let us know if you have any questions or comments!
