USC at the end of 2011 was playing great football. By this time, Barkley looked like an elite QB and the team was firing on all cylinders. For a string of games they looked like USC of old (2002-2008). (4) 2017 Oklahoma vs. (29) 2015 Michigan Oklahama had a very good offense all around and a decent defense. Michigan would get picked apart in a hurry here. (13) 2018 LSU vs. (20) 2018 Washington State I still think 2018 LSU was one of the best LSU teams of the decade. It was the first time since 2012 that the Tigers fielded what was a really good defense. A classic LSU D - featuring a great DL and an elite secondary. Offensively, they weren’t there yet but the talent was there. Third or fourth best LSU team of the decade (definitely behind 2011 and 2019, and maybe 2012). Anyway, LSU wins this one. I will soon start making explanations more thorough and about the match instead of a generalized run-down of the team I picked to win.
