Who wins and why? Nothing against my DBP buddies on here, but I like Katy here.

I've got DBP in this one. They seemed to tear up the competition. I know Katy did, too, but it just seems that DBP would have beaten that Katy team by 13.

I would be curious to see how DBP would handle that defensive front.

Would be very tough. However, it seems like some teams still found a way to put points up on Katy. Cedar Hill and Morton Ranch put up 24, Cinco Ranch and Cypress Ranch put up 21, and Steele put up 33.

Could be. I still see Don Bosco winning though. They played better against a tougher slate of teams. That would pay off against another high-powered opponent, say, 2012 Katy.

Maybe so. I do though think 2015 Katy and 2016 LT (week 6 - week 16 form) win.

Manatee won state that year FWIW.

Katy played 7 teams ranked 1200 or lower in the nation.DBP played 8 teams ranked 500 or better in the nation....DBP wins this game imo

Yea. I think stylistically this would probably be a close low scoring game. But if I had to put money on either, without a strong opinion on who would win, this is the most logical take.

Katy, and Texas football rules.

Love Katy's brand of football. They physically kick the shit out of teams on the field... or at least they use to. Haven't had a team like that since 2017. And the last great Katy team was 2015. Before that, 2012 and 2013.

Yes both teams were very physical. 2012 Katy was the most physical team I had ever seen up to that point (imo). Offense would run defenders over and bully them. It would really start to get ugly when the opposing defense was gassed and Katy would line up in the I with Adam Taylor or Rodney Anderson and just run them over like a toyota camry getting thumped by a train.
