Rufus69
I don't normally give out kudos to a train driver from Tech...but Pepper was a character and a legend. Not only did he play for Bobby Dodd...but he represented the State of Georgia like the Ambassador he was. I had the pleasure of meeting him a couple of times...and yes, we exchanged barbs about each other's programs...but I really liked and admired him. RIP...Hoss. HooverOutlaw
He hired Spurrier as qb in 1979. Also coached wrestler Lex Luger while at Memphis. He did it all in football. He went from Kansas to UCLA then to Georgia Tech as HC talk about changing scenery.
