RedZone
I always liked this cover...an old Van song done, well.... differently. 1
HawgGoneIt
This almost seems blasphemous, but, I do like this cover.

HawgGoneIt
This is another blasphemous one that I like. Way different than the original.

But right out of the gate, we've got covers of "Brown Eyed Girl" and "Fortunate Son." That was solid. I've never heard of Clutch before. Good musicians.
HawgGoneIt
Idk, since I posted that blasphemous I will survive cover by Cake... here is War Pigs covered by him as well.

[...] I didn't know they covered this one. It sounds like their song that used to get played a ton on the radio, the one about the guy who doesn't stop the race. I guess that's their style.
HawgGoneIt
How about a natural rapper covering Marshal Tucker Band... actually a talented guy. He did Folsom Prison Blues as well but he mixed a little rap into it.

He started out on a cocaine binge doing a 10 minute freestyle rap that another party goer/friend posted on YouTube and it kind of all started from there. He has a decent career going from that.
Belly Bob
My wife likes this one. She says he's from Nepal and taught himself English by learning these songs.
HawgGoneIt
Another extremely blasphemous cover, but, I'll be damned if it isn't great... I think there are some songs that are just so great they can't really be fucked up.

He did it backwards. Usually you end your career on a cocaine binge. I like that. Mix it up.
HawgGoneIt
Just now, Belly Bob said: He did it backwards. Usually you end your career on a cocaine binge. I like that. Mix it up. So many rappers start on the streets selling drugs. A lot of them do it backwards. Some start and end in the same spot.

HawgGoneIt
Last two blasphemous covers from me for the night. Both are surprisingly good.

Tough to cover that one, but Ol' Stapelton does pretty good at it.

It's original; it resonates with my redneck sensibilities; and the guy's got a good voice for country.
HawgGoneIt
Well damn, I can't go off the air just yet... last one for real. I did a rapper covering country... Let's do country covering a rapper that turned out kind of fun
RedZone
Louisiana's KWS band used to do a fair Midnight Rider cover....seen KWS several times back in the day. Good show!

I like now https://mikemasse.com/africa-toto/ HOW “AFRICA” CHANGED EVERYTHING by Mike Massé I never would have predicted that someday the song people would most associate with me would be “Africa” by Toto. Probably 90% of my fans have discovered me because of the YouTube video of my acoustic rendition with Jeff Hall, performed at the Pie Pizzeria in South Jordan, Utah, on August 7, 2010. And to think that it almost didn’t happen, and that I almost didn’t post it at all…. click link for rest of the story.. pretty interesting Yeah, that’s pretty good.
