Centennial has defeated nationally ranked St. Thomas Aquinas and Bishop Gorman last two seasons... can they do it again to #1 Mater Dei? Define "struggled". Was it a one score game where Centennial fought off a couple goal line advances from Gorman? Yes. Did Centennial ever trail in the game and see Gorman's only score come in the final 15 seconds when the game was all but out of reach? Also yes. I will say this is not last year's Centennial team, not yet at least. My optimism goes as far as saying if the team's tackling improves from two weeks ago they won't get running clocked.
