ECHS05
How he turned MD into a football powerhouse? He looked at his rival SJB stacking talent from all over & said "hmmm... We should do that too". Mystery solved. 1 1

MV, Long Beach Poly and Los Al all “stacked talent” long before Negro or Rollo did it... Long Beach Poly could still be a National Power if the LBUSD allowed them to be one 1 1

Nolebull813
I wonder if Rollo sits in his office and try’s to justify stacking and IMG-West all star team. Does he tell himself he had to just to compete, or does he secretly know his legacy is a tad tainted from the recruiting transfer teams? He saw SJB get 20 transfers a year and sold his Soul just to one up his league rival. He’s been coaching for 40 years. He’s seen it all. He knows deep down the last few titles are hollow. Sad HSFB has come to this. Stacking all star teams to beat neighborhood schools for hollow titles. 1 5

This is precisely what was happening during the long drought with no championships before 2017. Many people were saying that he did indeed go the way of the dinosaurs. MD had some very good teams during these years but it’s championship or bust.
The Stache
Gawd I wish someone else had that big target on their back. We are fortunate to have some great student athletes choose to attend our fine institution. We are focused on developing well rounded young men which is why we chose to go to DC this year. That venue will be provide a good civic education for our young men, many of whom have never traveled out of Santa ana. The game will help us prepare for league. We expect to be looking at getting alot of guys playing time to properly evaluate them for league. And I have been sleeping much better than I was a few years back. Thank you for asking.

LOL, they have our backs (not running backs, well yes that too). We all benefit win, win, win!

Coach, most of the players on your team had never even been in Santa Ana before they transferred to Mater Dei to play football 😄

181pl
Fake teams. Fake titles. This is like boring HS basketball. With 3 or 4 national teams posing as HS teams. Yawn. Most of us would get much better enjoyment watching some traditional rivals in a key district match up than MD playing some other trumped up fake HS team full of all stars. 2 2 1
