The Colonel
I think preparing young players for the NCAA Division 1 college football experience is more IMG's selling point, not the NFL. "Since almost every IMG student, be it a football player or another sport-specific athlete, lives on campus, they’re used to being away from home. Going off to college isn’t as much of a culture shock. They learn time management. Their diets are better. They already know their way around a film room. It’s all football, all the time. Additionally, the academic curriculum is designed for players to graduate a semester ahead of schedule. Of the 21 IMG recruits who signed NLIs in February, 20 were early enrollees. Today’s college freshmen are getting more playing time than ever before, and IMG’s high school seniors arrive readier than most."

Yes, they were already studs at the high schools they originally came from, but probably we're not able to prepare for the next level experience at those high school programs as well as they can at IMG. I don't see how splitting reps with 2 or 3 other 4* or 5* guys helps anything....just bust egos. We EAT good enough in NOLA to make the NFL.....maybe better than anyone truthfully... NOLA food is good...no argument there!

They are a sports agency and they want to represent them. That’s what the returns are meant to be for the investors. To date it doesn’t seem to be happening at the rate they hoped but it only takes one 50 million contract at 15% commission to pay off at 7.5. Mil. Not sure what it cost to run the program but I know they have not had a pay out yet. The kids they have in the NFL are not making much beyond league minimum and the ones drafted this year have yet to make the team. They need a #1 pick to cash in. This year 32 schools not named IMG had one. Same for the 5 years prior. Lol. This exactly- what I have been saying about IMG and their purpose. The best thing young athletes can do is stay active- multi sports...Compete!

imaGoodBoyNow
Y’all are taking this too serious... no one complained once ever about img stealing thier tennis 🎾 players from thier HS but now since they formed a football team and took ur star running back You Feel some type of way about it
Guest
IMG training is pretty overrated and makes players soft IMO. They look no different from public school talent in college and in most cases...in fact look much worse. That's because splitting time with other 4/5 star players at the same position not only stunts growth, but doesn't teach leadership which is important in football. They have no clue what its like to handle a load because their hand is held the entire way. Well no one holds your hand after HS. Wouldn't send my kid there unless I really, really had to. RedZone
IMG only has most of these kids 45 minutes before they are off to college. Any 4 year starters there or even 3 year starters...be lucky if they had some 2 year starters.
RM7
Most of the kids that transfer into IMG are already being heavily recurtied. So the goal has to be NFL, otherwise why transfer?
