Texasball
Keep your eyes on this young freshman girl from Lancaster. Her name is Jayla Hollis - she is a sprinter and hurdler - she actually DQ in the 100m H at the district meet so she didn't run that race yesterday. Today - she has the nations #9 wind legal 200m 23.91 with .5 wind - pretty damn good for 9th grader she has ran 13.68 100m H this year and Also runs the 4x100 and 4x200 relays - which lancaster is pretty damn good at too. Now the 2A (the classes are irrelevant in FL but I have to report it lol). district 15 had some nice times below. https://www.athletic.net/TrackAndField/MeetResults.aspx?Meet=310756 Always nice to max out on the +2.0 m/s reading... and 3 national top 10 guys took full advantage. * Schwartz (WR AHP) 10.21, Shaun Rivers (RB Chaminade-Madonna)10.50, Tyson Campbell (DB AHP) 10.51 Marquis Williams - elite WR for Gibbons 10.96 (some guys just don't rip 100's). Michael Harley Jr is similar, looks much faster on the field. * Schwartz ripped a PR 20.66 (that 200 is coming down but the 100 will be his top race), Shivers 21.08 +1.8 m/s (wind legal) AHP 40.64, Gibbons with a nice 41.11 to enter the top 20 ( top 18 times are now TX and FL currently). GA has 19, 20 and 21 (41.14, 41.15 and 41.16 sweet times for Westlake, Cedar Shoals and Arabia Mountain. Calpreps rated football teams in nation last year #457, #7595 and #2483). Elite track times though.

HawgGoneIt
Good stuff that IAAF 4x100 final. I have to admit that I've never been a track guy, and I mainly only watch the Olympic trials and Olympics track. Following along with you guys on here is pretty interesting and has me checking it out more and more. I wish Colquitt track and field was more elite so I could get in here and crow with T-Ball and the rest of the track guys. I saw that the Colquitt girls 4x100 best time was 49.89 per the coach. Idk if that's hand timed or whatever. Hoping that the new track facilities will develop more interest and better talent here so we can get more involved in the cross-over/speed discussion.
